Public Area Surcharge
Please note that there is a surcharge of $50.00 applicable to all wedding ceremonies held in public areas ie, parks, beach, etc. This surcharge will be enforced irrespective of the amount of items hired. The surcharge is to cover the cost of a staff member staying with the hire equipment whilst the ceremony is taking place as we cannot leave it unattended and to ensure it is removed in an appropriate time and manner.
Beach Ceremonies
When considering the specific spot for your beach ceremony please bear in mind that all equipment must be hand carried to the chosen spot. You therefore must choose somewhere that is easily accessible both for us to park a van or truck and to carry the equipment to. We do everything we can to make your day special however if we cannot get the equipment to your chosen spot then we reserve the right to refuse set up and you will need to organise your guests to take & set up the equipment. Due to time constraints, physical limitations and safety issues we cannot trudge through sand dunes, climb down narrow, steep rock steps or hike along soft sand for miles whilst carrying chairs, tables and everything else. Just a thought from our experiences too, if we have trouble getting there spare a thought for your older guests who may also encounter difficulties :)
Ceremony Booking Times
Gold Coast City Council generally allows @ 2 hours for a wedding ceremony in a public area. This time includes any set up that we require to prepare for your wedding. It also includes time for us to dismantle and remove our items. When planning your ceremony please take these required timings into account so as to not delay either your ceremony or disadvantage any people booked after you.
